GIS: Prime Minister Dr. Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell has been talking of the benefits of the National Health Insurance, which is designed to make high quality health care more accessible and affordable.
Consultations are currently ongoing to give the public an opportunity to have a say on its design and implementation.
Dr. Mitchell, who was recently engaging students at the T.A. Marryshow Community College, gave the assurance that people will get value for money when the programme is implemented.
“Health care should not be something for the rich and those connected. Every life is important,” Dr. Mitchell said to applause. “Those around me in politics hear me preach that over and over. The system we have is part of the problem we have to deal with….so we are moving aggressively,” the Prime Minister said.
