It is with a great sense of pride that the young people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique extend congratulations to the newest and youngest set of Parliamentarians in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
I am very delighted to know that you have won the elections for the Free National Movement. Their victory with a large majority has filled me with immense joy. I take this opportunity to congratulate you on your well deserved and enormous success.
Having contested and won your electoral seats in the Lower Chamber of the House of Assembly in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, today, I stand to salute all three of you on your great achievements.
You must be highly content with your post as you have undoubtedly worked very hard to achieve these positions. Your commitment and dedication has helped attain it. You will be able to put many things back on track now. Your involvement within the political arena will benefit the country on the whole as new and young minds have emerged to embrace the challenges that our people are confronted with daily.

Let us focus on the contributions that you can make while looking back at the past records with renewed vigour and passion to serve the people of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
You are the perfect set of candidates to position the future. All your hard work has been paid off. The zeal to do something for the students and for the young masses of your country has made your winning the elections more realistic.
We are very proud of you and know that you will justify your positions. We wish to receive your selfless service for the members of your society and hope that you will justify the expectations of all the enthusiastic society members.
Your election by secret ballot bears witness to the confidence that the people placed in all three of you, in your sense of fairness, and especially in your ability to maintain the dignity and decorum in the upcoming debates.
You are the custodian of a great parliamentary tradition … it bears noting, that you all are the nation’s top referee and its linesman too. Your guidance should ensure that nobody crosses the line or goes offside.
I hope you will easily fulfill all your promises and shine brightly in the future. Let us continue to give young people the support that they truly deserve to bring about high levels of impact among our people.
