Did you know that four Grenadians are currently managing aged group cricket teams – West Indies and Windward Islands?

Dwain Gill is the manager of the West Indies Under-19 team which just won series against South Africa (3-2) and Zimbabwe (2-1).

Randel Baptiste is the manager of the Windward Islands Male Under-19 team participating in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional U-19 Tournament in St Kitts.

Lydia Edgar is the manager of the Windward Islands Female Under-19 team participating in the CWI Regional U-19 Tournament in Trinidad and Johnson Richardson is the manager of the Windward Islands Under-15 team participating in the CWI Regional U-15 Tournament in Barbados.

Additionally, Grenadian Rawl Lewis is the Logistics Officer with the West Indies Senior team currently in the UK preparing for the series against England.

GrenadaSports understands that Lewis has been recommended to take over as Team Manager of the West Indies team and the UK tour may be used to ‘groom’ him for the position.

The tour, which officially starts on Tuesday with a three-day warm-up match against Essex, will include three Tests, five ODIs and one T20 International.
