NEW LUXURY RESORT TO CELEBRATE THE CULTURE, BEAUTY AND ORIGINALITY OF “THE SPICE OF THE CARIBBEAN”
Set to open March 2018 on the sands of Grand Anse Beach, Silversands will introduce a new way for travelers to experience Pure Grenada, the Spice of the Caribbean. Sleek and modern in its design, the resort and residence project will offer an unpretentious luxury experience radiating with the warmth, originality and energy of true Grenadian life.
Sophisticated in its simplicity, Silversands represents a radical departure from conventional Caribbean hospitality offerings. The modern-inspired hotel’s striking minimalist design will put Grenada’s enthralling landscape at the focus, enticing guests to explore the island and forge a personal connection with the Caribbean’s greatest undiscovered hideaway.
“When our owner first set foot on Grenada, he found a place unlike any other and longed to share it with the world. Firmly rooted in the culture of the island, Silversands Grenada will be a refined yet unpretentious luxury retreat that will introduce new travelers to the undeniable beauty and originality of the island, and the warmth of its people,” said Christian Langlade, General Manager of Silversands Grenada. “Authentic Grenada will be a cornerstone of the resort, from its cuisine to its staff and excursions led by island-based tour operators. We look forward to working hand in hand with the community, local partners and the Grenada Tourism Authority as we move toward opening our doors next spring.”
Silversands Grenada will span across two main buildings off Grand Anse Beach encompassing 39 Open Plan Suites, three One-Bedroom Suites, and a generous Penthouse spanning 192 square meters. Additionally, nine residential villas will be unobtrusively peppered into the surrounding landscape, including five spacious Beachfront Villas with direct access onto the sand, and four three-bedroom Hillside Villas with awe-inspiring views of the resort grounds and the sea.
The resort will be anchored by an artfully-designed 100-meter infinity pool. The longest pool in the Caribbean, it will stretch from the heart of the resort and extend onto the gleaming sand. The property will also include the Silversands Spa, a relaxing sanctuary including four treatment rooms, a sauna, hammam, temperature-controlled swimming pool and gym. In addition to guests and villa owners, the spa will also be open to Grenadian residents to enjoy its vast array of island-inspired massages, treatments and rituals.
“The Grenada Tourism Authority is thrilled to welcome Silversands Grenada to Grand Anse Beach, adding a new offering to the island’s impressive collection of award-winning hotels,” said Patricia Maher, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority. “We look forward to the opening of this resort and residence project in Spring 2018, which will inspire travelers to discover Pure Grenada’s awe-inspiring natural landscape, delicious food, spectacular locally-guided activities, and the friendliest people in the Caribbean.”
A focus on community and culture will flow through Silversands Grenada. Two resort restaurants will showcase the island’s abundant agriculture and culinary artisans. The first will be a casual breakfast and lunch Beach Club serving up line-caught fish, handpicked fruits and vegetables and more, along with Grenadian craft beers, rums and wines from around the world. The second restaurant will offer a refined Thai restaurant with vibrant flavors drawing on Grenada’s reputation as “the Spice of the Caribbean.”
Beyond the resort, Silversands Grenada will partner with local tour operators and guides to connect guests with Grenada’s spectacular landscape. From waterfall chasing to scuba diving, historical exploration and organic farm tours, the resort will connect guests and villa owners with the warm, captivating soul and people of authentic Grenada.
Within the resort itself, a rotating art exhibit will showcase Grenadian art alongside pieces from the resort owner’s personal collection. Guests will also be able to experience the rhythm of the island with performances by local musicians and bands.
Sustainability and partnership is a strong focus for Silversands Grenada. The resort will offer unique training for staff and will engage the community with dedicated courses and classes for those interested in entering into the hospitality industry. The entire focus of the resort’s service will be based on the Grenadian warmth, kindness and approachability, rather than formality.
In the coming months, Silversands Grenada will begin to reach out to the community to engage in hiring processes for the resort. Hiring will commence with a recruitment event in October 2017, where all interested applicants will be invited to learn more about and apply for a diverse variety of positions that will be available as part of the Silversands Grenada team. The resort will also host a job fair in October 2017 for graduating students of St. George’s University and the T.A. Marryshow Community College. Additional details on forthcoming recruitment events will be made available as specific dates are confirmed.
