The Government of Grenada is proud to announce the participation of a high-level delegation at the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) 2025, taking place in Miami from May 7 to 9, 2025. The delegation is led by the Honourable Kerryne James, Minister for Climate Resilience, the Environment, and Renewable Energy.
Minister James is accompanied by Permanent Secretary Peron Johnson and Mr. Leslie Smith, Director of Renewable Energy. The Grenada delegation will engage in strategic discussions on energy transition, regional collaboration, and financing for clean energy initiatives. The delegation’s participation underscores Grenada’s ongoing pursuits to meet its renewable energy targets and its commitment to climate action and sustainable development.
Minister James is scheduled to participate in several key panels, including a high-level Roundtable including Strategic Pathways for Investment and Scale, Women in Renewable Energy and Geothermal Power Initiatives. The Hon Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with international development partners and private sector stakeholders to advance Grenada’s national energy agenda.
“Grenada remains steadfast in its pursuit of a resilient and low-carbon energy future,” said Minister James. “Our presence at CREF 2025 is a critical opportunity to showcase our progress, learn from our Caribbean neighbours, and forge the partnerships necessary to accelerate renewable energy implementation across the tri-island state.”
CREF is the largest annual gathering of energy stakeholders in the Caribbean, bringing together policymakers, utility leaders, financiers, and developers to chart the region’s clean energy transition.
