Grenada’s beach volleyball scene is celebrating a significant achievement as national coach Jonell Phillip returns from Paraguay, having successfully completed the Level 1 Beach Volleyball Coaching Course entirely in Spanish.
Phillip’s accomplishment occurred during a one-week high-performance training camp held from May 26 to June 1, 2025, in Paraguay. The camp, organized under the Pan American Games development programme in collaboration with the Grenada Olympic Committee, aimed to enhance the skills of Grenada’s U-21 beach volleyball teams as they prepare for the upcoming Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Beach Volleyball Championships in St. Kitts.
Demonstrating exceptional dedication, Phillip undertook the coaching course in Spanish, showcasing his commitment to personal and professional growth. This linguistic challenge underscores his determination to excel and adapt in diverse environments.
Phillip’s achievement not only elevates his coaching credentials but also serves as an inspiration to athletes and coaches alike, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in the ever-evolving landscape of international sports.
