Team Grenada Clinches Historic Bronze At U-23 ECVA Tournament

Grenada’s U-23 volleyball squad has made history, securing the nation’s first-ever podium finish in this age category at the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Tournament. After narrowly missing a spot in the finals, the team showed remarkable resilience, battling through a thrilling five-set match against St. Lucia to claim the bronze medal.

The tournament also saw individual brilliance from Grenadian players. Rivaldo Smith was recognized as the Best Setter, while Kibose Hamilton dominated in two categories, earning both Best Outside Hitter and Best Receiver awards. Hamilton’s exceptional performance proved unstoppable throughout the competition, cementing his status as one of the tournament’s standout players.

This milestone is a significant step forward for volleyball in Grenada, reflecting the growth and potential of the sport on the island. The achievement reinforces the foundation for developing future talent and raising the competitive standard of national teams.

Team Grenada’s success was made possible thanks to the unwavering support of the Ministry of Youth & Sports – Grenada, IMA Grenada, Deco Industries, Huggins, and all others who believed in the mission to elevate Grenadian volleyball.

The squad, coaches, and supporters remain committed to an aggressive development agenda aimed at increasing participation and nurturing homegrown talent, with the goal of taking Grenada volleyball to even greater heights.

Congratulations, Team Grenada! Your historic achievement has inspired a new generation of volleyball players across the island. 🇬🇩🔥🏐
