Integrity Commission Receives Investigation Training

Commissioners and Technical Staff of the Integrity Commission of Grenada are engaged in a 4-day capacity-building workshop designed to further enhance their skills in anti-corruption and investigation principles and practices.

Dirk Harrison, Chairman of the Commonwealth Caribbean Associations of Integrity Commissions and Anti-Corruption Bodies (CCAICACB), is facilitating the workshop.

The workshop, which ends on Friday, will discuss, among other things, the ethical and legal responsibilities of investigators, the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, the laws and practices that determine the jurisdictional framework of their roles and responsibilities and the process of investigation, preparation and presentation of evidence in a corruption investigation.

Harrison is a Jamaican Attorney-at-Law. He has served in Jamaica as Director of the Corruption Prosecution Division of the Integrity Commission; the Contractor General of the Office of the Contractor General; the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions; and a part-time Lecturer at the Justice and Training Institute of the Ministry of Justice.
