I have never experienced bad audio on any outgoing call. You might want to try changing the proxy server that your MJ connects to. It could be that the one you normally connect to is one of their more congested ones. And I don't think the problem is with the proxy server or more specifically the RTP connection, for the same server handles both incoming and outgoing voice traffic.
The outgoing voice has never been a problem. But I did see a new twist on the problem today. I got a perfectly clear incoming call and as the call progressed the caller's voice slowly got worse, scratchy and choppy. Not bad enough that I couldn't understand it, though, so I didn't need to hang up and call back. I've been reading about the new Magic Jack Plus that is about to come out. Perhaps I'll just hang tough until that gets here. From what I've been reading on this forum, there seems to be confusion about when it's coming, whether it's already out or not, etc.
According to the website I found, they say they're trying harder now and still testing it to get it right.
