ITTF Peter Kavanaugh To Conduct A One-Week Level One Coaching Course For Perspective Grenada Table Tennis Association Coaches.

International Table Tennis Federation Course Conductor (ITTF) Peter Kavanaugh will conduct a one-week Level One Coaching Course for perspective Grenada Table Tennis Association coaches. It takes place between December 10th and 14th at the Youth Center in Morne Rouge

The course to be held under the auspices of the Grenada Table Tennis Association will involve 20 aspiring coaches representing clubs, primary and secondary schools, the Royal Grenada Police Force Sport Club, and the Ministry of Sport and IMANI trainees

The participants are expected to complete 30 hours of course work during the week covering theory and practical. The successful participants will then subsequently complete another 30 hours of supervised work with student players among others.

President of the Grenada Table Tennis Association Kent Joseph has welcomed the ITTF Level One course noting it will provide the technical skills required by coaches to meet one of the basic needs in Grenada’s table tennis which is train coaches to facilitate the development at the game at the primary school and community levels

Mr Joseph says the Association and the selected coaches are both excited about the one week training program to be conducted by ITTF Coach Peter Kavanaugh is from Jamaica and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will benefit the aspiring Grenadian coaches

The Grenada coaching program is an initiative of the PanAmerica Development Manager Carlos Manuel Esnard Bolanos who is keen to significantly contribute to the further development of the game in the region.
