Beausejour, Carriacou– One out of three ambulances recently commissioned and handed over to the Ministry of Health, was handed over to the Princess Royal Hospital in Carriacou.
The ambulance was donated by the Canadian Bank Note and the National Lottery Authority to help improve the delivery of health care on the island.
Director of Hospital Services, Dr. Carol Mc Intosh, urged staff of the Princess Royal Hospital to make the best use of the emergency vehicle and take very good care of it.
Minister of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Hon. Kindra Maturine-Stewart, in receiving the keys to the brand new ambulance extended a heartfelt thank you on behalf of the people of Carriacou and Petite Martinique to all those who have been instrumental in the initiative.
She added that she’s quite certain that the new ambulance will be able to enhance the quality of the delivery of service to the people of Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
Minister Stewart noted in closing that she’s looking forward to partnering with everyone in improving the quality of Health Care Services in Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
