Government will be taking steps to resolve the issue of traffic congestion in the capital city in 2019.
That announcement by Transport Minister Hon. Gregory Bowen on Tuesday 8th during the Government’s Post Cabinet Press Briefing.
Minister Bowen said the plan is to introduce a “Park and Shuttle” method will be implemented to reduce traffic into the city from the Tanteen and Queen’s Park areas.
According to Minister Bowen, the plan to alleviate traffic congestion is expected to go into effect after the first quarter of 2019.
Plans are also in motion to make public transportation accessible to hotel
employees and other persons who work late night shifts and who live in
rural parts of the country.
Minister Bowen said Government met with the Bus Association and hoteliers and they have agreed on the way forward.
