Beausejour, Carriacou – February 18th, 2019 – Four students on the Sister-Isles of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, on Friday, were rewarded by members of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Independence Celebration Committee as winners of the 45th Independence Radio Quiz.
The Quiz was held on Sister-Isles Radio 92.9FM from January 21st – 25th, focusing on Sports, Independence Themes, Current Affairs, History and Culture.
The winners rewarded were Kadia Edmund of Bishop’s College, Jaden Matheson and Dejenae Brown of Hillsborough Government School and Nathan Spann of Petite Martinique R.C School.
President of the Carriacou and Petite Martinique Independence Celebration Committee, Dr. Vernesta Noel-Smart, said that the hand over of prizes were significantly important in following through on the promises of the committee and its support towards education.
She added that it is through initiatives like such that the history of Grenada’s Independence is passed on and is encouraging all students to get onboard for the 46th year.
