A Local Mas Band Leader ,Cultural Enthusiast and Events Promoter will be bringing one of his ideas to actuality, when he launches the Three T’s foundation in the Big Parish.
The latest initiative of Upper Level Promotions under the directive of Mr. Peter Bain, will celebrate the legacies of Randolph “Timpo” Thomas, John “Tangler” Allard and Winston “Teller” Glasgow.
All three sons of the Parish, St.Andrew have made immense contributions to the local musical arena, paving way for many of the artistes today.
“ Well the three T’s foundation was an idea of mine, I thought we should give them some form of recognition.”
Bain who was the recipient of the British Empire Medal in 2018 added, “ the initiative will be launched on Rainbow City Monday in Grenville.”
The objective of the 3T’s Foundation is – To recognize the contribution made by the 3T’s to culture. It will take the form of a number of activities namely
1. 3T’s Talent Search competition
2. Erecting a monument near Paradise bridge
3. 3T’s Fund
4. Petition to rename the Seamoon Cultural centre to the 3T’s Cultural Centre
5. 3T’s Fundraiser Show
The first event will be held on August 17, 2019 and that will be the 3T’s Talent Search competition. The idea is to give inexperienced artiste an opportunity to showcase the talent. The Talent show will not only be a competition but a learning experience for the participating artiste.
