Grenada has now become the fifth major shareholder, for Regional Airline the Leeward Airlines Air Transport ( LIAT).
The Revelation was made by Grenada’s Minister Trade, Industry, Co-operatives & CARICOM Affairs- Oliver Joseph.
He was speaking at the Weekly Government Press Conference, at the Ministry of Works Conference Room in St.George’s Tuesday 07 May.`
It was just last week that the Island’s Civil Aviation Minister Hon Clarice Modest told the parliament of the Minimum Wage Guarantee ( MRG) Framework, proposed by the cash strapped Regional airline .The framework is believed to address shortfalls caused by flights which fail to achieve viable or profitable routes.
