ADMIST THIS COVID PANDEMIC AND THE MANDATORY CURFEW IMPOSED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF GRENADA;

THE GRENADA CO-OPERATIVE NUTMEG ASSOCIATION (GCNA) IS ADVISING ALL NUTMEG FARMERS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF GRENADA WHO HAVE NUTMEGS TO FOLLOW THESE PRACTICES:

  1. POUR NUTMEGS OUT OF BAGS OR BUCKETS ONTO A CLEAN DRY SURFACE
  2. SPREAD NO MORE THAN 2 INCHES THICK
  3. STIR/TURN AT LEAST TWICE A DAY
  4. AVOID NUTMEGS FROM GETTING WET
  5. REMOVE ANY DEFECTIVE NUTMEGS THAT MAY APPEAR DURING TURNING/STORAGE (SUCH AS CRACKED SHELLS, GROW EYES ETC.)
  6. STORE ALL DRY MACE TO AVOID SPOILAGE
