The Sporting Organizations in Grenada need to come together to ensure the survival of sports, as the world battles the Covid 19 pandemic.
This is the advice of President of the Grenada Netball Association Glennis Roberts.
She explained to Triple N Sports that this move is vital for the future for sports. “That is very crucial going forward because with synergy we can help each other.” “I always believe in Barrack Obama when he said together we can.” “Together as sporting associations we can merge doing a lot of things even if when the need be, order uniforms, do events, because one of the things, we’re working hard to get an indoor facility, because the weather is so uncertain these days and unless you have proper surfaces to play you suffer all the repercussions.”
Roberts, a former senator used the opportunity to encourage the sporting community and every Grenadian to follow the health protocols put in place to help fight and control the spread of Covid 19.
According to Roberts “she don’t want to sound gloom and doom, because somebody sent a clip the other day, who said something about if you were born in 1900, thirty year on or twenty year on, this is what the world suffered from.” “So for Covid it’s a big thing, the whole world is affected, and I’m hoping it’s something we can get out of sooner rather than later.” “But I think we cannot rush, I mean it’s not in our hands, frankly for it to finish, we just have to with time go back to the basics, wash your hands, do all that you need to do to keep it out and minimize it in Grenada and then we can look forward to doing all those things.”
