Former National footballer and Concacaf Licensed Coach Jake Rennie is leading the charge in preparing the Senior Women’s National Team for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers beginning in February 2022. Apart from being a licensed coach, Rennie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sport from the International School for Physical Education and Sport.
Additionally, he served as Fitness Trainer for the Senior Men’s National Team in the Gold Cup and was Head Coach of the U17 and U20 Men’s teams in 2018 and 2020 respectively.

The National Senior Women’s Team will play their first match away against Dominican Republic on February 16 then host Jamaica on February 20 at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium at 5pm.
Currently, the team is engaged in weekly fitness and technical training sessions from Monday to Thursday at the Queen’s Park Playing Field.
Coach Rennie says, “We are working with promising talent identified by the Women’s Development Officer from the U20 team and from recent competitions and festivals held last year. We will also have overseas based players joining the team.”
He further stated, “We are ensuring that the players are in the best physical condition while also focusing on mental preparation.”
