Grenada: The National swimmer team of Grenada returns home from Junior Worlds in Lima Peru on September 6 with another national record which Zachary Gresham obtained on the last day of the match. The nation welcomed the entire team with warm hearts.
Grenada’s National swimmers, Tilly Collymore, Nathan Fletcher, Zackary Gresham and the team’s manager, Nigel Gresham, were returned home.
The team’s performances were indeed commendable, having a number of personal best times obtained and National Records broken. A total of eight personal best times were obtained:
Three from Nathan Fletcher in his 100 backstrokes, which he swam in 1:07.31 from his previous 1:09.48,
- His 50 m freestyle which he swam in 25.34 from his previous 25.58 and
- A National Record time of 25.99 in the 50m Butterfly from his last 26.02.
Along with this, other personal bests’ were obtained from Zackary Gresham in :
- The 50m Backstroke, which he did in 27.89 from his previous 27.96,
- The 100m butterfly in a time of 57.38 from his previous 57.80,
- The 100m Freestyle in a time of 54.75 from his last 55.07,
- The 50m Butterfly, which he did in26.18 from his previous 26.26 and
- In the 200m backstrokes in a time of 2:13.73 from his previous 2:14.29.
Among these personal best times by Gresham were three National Record bringing a total of four National Records gained at the championships.
While Tilly Collymore failed this time to obtain personal bests’, she too must be commended for her consistent and disciplined representation as one of Grenada’s sports ambassadors over the last five months.
All three swimmers have represented Grenada well as well as GASA continues to be extremely proud of their achievements.

With a new national record time of 57.38, he broke the previous mark, earning himself a B qualifying time for the 2019 XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
