Representatives from Fourteen of the Seventeen Districts which form a critical part of the Disaster Management Structure in Grenada met with new National Disaster Coordinator, Dr. Terence Walters, on Monday October 31st, at NaDMA’s Conference room.

The positive show of support by way of attendance at the meeting on Monday was an encouraging sign on the overall growth of volunteers in the Disaster Management process.

The inaugural meeting with the new head, was convened with an aim to obtain a general understanding of the status of the districts and the teams, and to chart the way forward for the effective management of the districts.

Underscoring the importance of the teams as immediate first responders, Dr. Walters thanked the members for their invaluable service of patriotism to the people of Grenada. Dr. Walters made a call for others to become volunteers with the Agency and be of service to the country through disaster management.
