Merle Benjamin, an educator for over 17 years has been appointed as the new Schools Attendant Officer for Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
As part of her portfolio, she is to work along with schools and parents on addressing the non-attendance of students at schools.
In welcoming her to the position which has been vacant for almost 4 years, Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government Hon. Tevin Andrews said she should reach out to get the necessary support when needed as there should be no excuse why students are not attending school.
