On Sunday, Paradise FC International were officially recognized as the champions of the Grenada Football Association (GFA) Premier League for the second consecutive year. This accolade was secured following their impressive 2-1 victory against Queen’s Park Rangers FC, which took place at the Kirani James Athletics Stadium. The triumph not only solidified their status as champions but also highlighted their dominance throughout the season.
Paradise FC completed the season undefeated, amassing a remarkable total of 54 points. They finished 17 points clear of their closest rival, St. John’s Sports, who ended the season with 37 points. This dominant performance underscores Paradise FC’s status as a powerhouse in Grenadian football.
“We are thrilled to win the league again and proud of our players and coaching staff,” said head coach Jake Rennie. “This achievement reflects our hard work and commitment throughout the season. We look forward to building on this success in the upcoming season.”
Conversely, the season proved challenging for Fontenoy United and Mt. Rich SC, who faced relegation to Division 1 after finishing in the 9th and 10th positions, respectively. Their struggles throughout the season underscore the competitive nature of the league and the challenges faced by teams at the lower end of the standings.
