Grenada is making strides in advancing its energy sector with innovative plans and strategic collaborations. This is in view of the just-concluded pivotal appraisal mission hosted January 23-24, 2025.
The mission hosted by the Ministry of Climate Resilience, the Environment, and Renewable Energy, and led by the World Bank and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), focused on the Caribbean Resilient Renewable Energy Infrastructure Investment Facility, an initiative aimed at transforming the region’s energy landscape.
This exercise brought together key stakeholders to present an overview of the facility and collect critical insights to shape the project’s development.
The facility’s overarching goal is to increase the share of utility-scale renewable energy across Caribbean nations, fostering energy resilience and sustainability.
Grenada, alongside St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is at the forefront of this initiative, positioning itself as one of the leaders in renewable energy adoption within the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) subregion.
