The Grenada Football Association (GFA) is set to host two friendly matches as part of its preparations for the Concacaf U17 Men’s Qualifiers. The Grenada U17 team will face off against their rivals from St. Vincent & the Grenadines in a series of matches aimed at sharpening skills and building team cohesion.
The first match is scheduled for Friday, January 31, at 7:00 PM at Victoria Park, while the second match will take place on Sunday, February 2, at Cuthbert Peters Park, starting at 4:00 PM. These games provide an excellent opportunity for both teams to gain valuable match experience ahead of the qualifiers taking place in Panama from February 7 to 16.
GFA General Secretary, Carl Lee, expressed the importance of these matches. “These friendly games are crucial for our young players to test their abilities and gain confidence before the qualifiers,” he said. “Competing against St. Vincent & the Grenadines will help us assess our readiness and make necessary adjustments. We encourage fans to come out and support our U17 team.”
The Grenada U17 team is in Group G of the qualifiers alongside host Panama, Dominican Republic and Aruba.
