The Grenada Football Association (GFA) celebrated the accomplishments of local football clubs at its annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, distributing over $340,000 in prize monies for the 2024/25 season.
The event took place at the GBSS Auditorium, where players, coaches, and supporters gathered to honour the achievements of the season.
Paradise FC International emerged as the standout club of the night, taking home several major awards in the Premier League category. The team secured the first-place title, while St John’s Sports SC and Hurricanes SC followed in second and third place, respectively. In the 1st Division, St David’s FC claimed the top spot, with North Stars and Honved SC earning second and third place honors. The Women’s League also saw Paradise FC International shine, with St Andrews Football League and Queens Park Rangers FC (1969) rounding out the top three.
“Tonight is a testament to the hard work and dedication shown by all our teams and players throughout the season,” said Marlon Glean, President of the GFA. “We are proud to support our local clubs and recognise their commitment to the sport.”
Individual awards were also a highlight of the evening. Rickel Charles and Romar Frank shared the Golden Boot Award for the Premier League, while Mark McQueen, Ricardo George, and Christina Clyne received the same honour in their respective divisions. The Golden Glove Award was presented to outstanding goalkeepers, including Jeremy Richardson of Paradise FC International and Kinda Lambert of Queens Park Rangers FC (1969). Additionally, awards for the best defenders, midfielders, and coaches were given to players across all divisions, showcasing the depth of talent in Grenadian football.
The ceremony concluded with the Fair Play Awards, which celebrated clubs that exemplified sportsmanship and respect for the game. Paradise FC International and St David’s FC were among the recipients, highlighting their commitment to integrity on the field.
As the GFA looks ahead to the next season, it remains focused on fostering football development in Grenada and creating opportunities for local talent to shine.
