Grenada Reaffirms Diplomatic Engagement With Mexico

Grenada has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening relations with the United Mexican States through a key diplomatic engagement.

On Friday, August 15, His Excellency Mr. Tarlie Francis, Ambassador of Grenada to the United  States of America and concurrently accredited to Mexico, presented copies of his Letters of  Credence to His Excellency Mr. Esteban Moctezuma, Ambassador Extraordinary and  Plenipotentiary of Mexico to the United States. The formal ceremony, was held at the Mexican  Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C.

The discussions were focused on enhancing collaboration in priority areas such as trade, education,  cultural exchange, and sustainable development. Both countries have a history of partnership, through capacity-building initiatives, technical cooperation, and joint engagement within regional  and international organizations, and this renewed dialogue reaffirms their commitment to  advancing those efforts.

Grenada and Mexico established diplomatic relations in 1975, fostering a partnership grounded in  shared values and mutual respect. Ambassador Francis’ presentation of credentials represents a  continuation of that tradition, and signals Grenada’s renewed dedication to deepening engagement  with Mexico.

The Embassy of Grenada conveys its appreciation to the Government of Mexico and the Embassy  of Mexico in Washington, D.C., for their warm hospitality and support in facilitating this important  diplomatic exchange.
