The U.S. Embassy is pleased to welcome Frances Herrera as the new U.S. Principal Officer in Grenada.\u00a0 Principal Officer Herrera arrived in Grenada earlier this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am thrilled to be in Grenada and back in the Caribbean.\u00a0 I am honored to represent the United States in this important relationship.\u00a0 We have a long history and incredibly close people-to-people ties,\u201d Principal Officer Herrera said.\u00a0 \u201cI look forward to working with the government and our partners to face new challenges, expand bilateral trade and investment, and promote democratic freedoms and good governance.\u201d<\/p>\n
Principal Officer Herrera succeeds Principal Officer Karl Duckworth, who led the U.S. Embassy from 2019 to 2022.\u00a0 Prior to arriving in Grenada, Principal Officer Herrera was the Management Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo, Suriname.\u00a0 She also served as Regional Director for the Office of Foreign MissionsMiami Office and Special Assistant to the Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
