Grenada\u2019s Prime Minister and Parliamentary\u00a0 Representative for the Constituency of St. David, the Hon. Dickon Mitchell, donated ten (10)\u00a0 new wheelchairs to the St. David\u2019s Health District on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The much-needed durable medical equipment was presented to Health, Wellness, and\u00a0 Religious Affairs Minister, Sen. the Hon. Jonathan LaCrette, by Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries\u00a0 and Cooperatives Minister, Sen. the Hon Adrian Thomas, who represented Prime Minister\u00a0 Mitchell on February 22, 2023, at the ribbon cutting ceremony that marked the reopening of\u00a0 the Westerhall Medical Station.<\/p>\n
The St. David Health District comprises the St. David\u2019s Health Center at Bellevue, and the\u00a0 Perdmontemps, Crochu, Westerhall, and Vincennes Medical Stations. All five government operated health services facilities will be outfitted with 2 wheelchairs each, to aid in the daily\u00a0 operations, specifically with respect to patient access to services.<\/p>\n
Minister LaCrette, who graciously accepted the wheelchairs, then invited Nurse Phebe\u00a0 Antoine, the District Nurse in charge of the St. David Health District to receive the chairs\u00a0 from him and ensure that they\u2019re put into proper use.<\/p>\n
