The new Ambassador and Permanent\u00a0\u00a0Representative of Grenada to the United Nations, His\u00a0\u00a0Excellency, Mr. Ch\u00e9 A. Phillip, presented his\u00a0credentials to the United Nations Secretary-General\u00a0\u00a0Ant\u00f3nio Guterres.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Phillip brought warm greetings from\u00a0Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell and Dame C\u00e9cile La\u00a0Grenade, Governor General of Grenada.<\/p>\n
During the bilateral meeting with\u00a0Secretary-General\u00a0\u00a0Guterres, Ambassador Phillip reiterated Prime Minister\u00a0Dickon Mitchell\u2019s Administration Transformational\u00a0thrust and Grenada\u2019s commitment\u00a0to the spirit of\u00a0multilateralism.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Phillip further reiterated the determination\u00a0of Grenada to remain one who continues to \u2018punch\u00a0above its weight\u201d at the United Nations.<\/p>\n
Secretary-General\u00a0Ant\u00f3nio Guterres\u00a0and Ambassador Phillip also agreed to strengthen cooperation\u00a0\u00a0between the Secretary-General\u2019s office and Grenada.<\/p>\n
Grenada through its Permanent Representative to the United Nation, Ambassador Ch\u00e9 A. Phillip,\u00a0is charged with charting new ways towards achievement of the Government\u2019s transformative\u00a0\u00a0agenda \u2013 through boldness and confidence.<\/p>\n
Prior to his appointment, Ambassador Phillip served in the Policy and Research Division of the\u00a0 Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development as a Foreign Service Officer with\u00a0 responsibility for Treaties and Conventions, CARICOM and OECS Affairs.<\/p>\n
A career Foreign Service Officer, he joined the Foreign Ministry in 2009 and has during his tenure\u00a0 served as the technical officer in such areas as the United Nations, ACS, CELAC, the Organization\u00a0 of Eastern Caribbean States and served as representative on several of its technical working groups.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
