The Ministry of Education,\u00a0Youth, Sports, and Culture congratulates the Grenada Swim Team for winning the\u00a0OECS Swim Championship, held at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre in Gros Islet,\u00a0St. Lucia over the weekend.<\/p>\n
The team tied for first place with Antigua and Barbuda.<\/p>\n
Several medals were won, along with three high point age group awards. Each\u00a0swimmer set personal bests (PBs) in their races.<\/p>\n
The team\u2019s perseverance over the three days of intense competition was highly\u00a0appreciated by the Ministry, which also congratulates them on their amazing\u00a0achievement. They have demonstrated tenacity and consistency in raising their game\u00a0in every competition, and the outcomes are evident.<\/p>\n
Commendation is also extended to the Grenada Amateur Swimming Association, as\u00a0well as all the coaches and support staff who contributed to the swimmers\u2019 success.\u00a0Grenada had roughly 30 swimmers compete in races ranging from the 8 and under\u00a0category to the 18 and under category.<\/p>\n
