The Government of Grenada is proud to announce the participation of a high-level delegation at the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) 2025, taking place in\u00a0 Miami from May 7 to 9, 2025. The delegation is led by the Honourable Kerryne James, Minister for\u00a0 Climate Resilience, the Environment, and Renewable Energy.<\/p>\n
Minister James is accompanied by Permanent Secretary Peron Johnson and Mr. Leslie Smith, Director\u00a0 of Renewable Energy. The Grenada delegation will engage in strategic discussions on energy transition,\u00a0 regional collaboration, and financing for clean energy initiatives. The delegation\u2019s participation\u00a0 underscores Grenada\u2019s ongoing pursuits to meet its renewable energy targets and its commitment to\u00a0 climate action and sustainable development.<\/p>\n
Minister James is scheduled to participate in several key panels, including a high-level Roundtable\u00a0 including Strategic Pathways for Investment and Scale, Women in Renewable Energy and Geothermal\u00a0 Power Initiatives. The Hon Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with international development\u00a0 partners and private sector stakeholders to advance Grenada\u2019s national energy agenda.<\/p>\n
\u201cGrenada remains steadfast in its pursuit of a resilient and low-carbon energy future,\u201d said Minister\u00a0 James. \u201cOur presence at CREF 2025 is a critical opportunity to showcase our progress, learn from our\u00a0 Caribbean neighbours, and forge the partnerships necessary to accelerate renewable energy\u00a0 implementation across the tri-island state.\u201d<\/p>\n
CREF is the largest annual gathering of energy stakeholders in the Caribbean, bringing together\u00a0 policymakers, utility leaders, financiers, and developers to chart the region\u2019s clean energy transition.<\/p>\n
