Grenadian volleyball soared to new heights this past weekend as the national U21 male team captured bronze at the ECVA (Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association) Beach Volleyball Tournament<\/strong>, defeating host nation St. Kitts 2-1<\/strong> in a high-energy, heart-pounding playoff.<\/p>\n

This third-place finish marks a historic first<\/strong> for Grenada\u2019s male team \u2014 the first time ever<\/strong> standing on the podium in this regional event. But the bronze medal represents more than just a victory on sand \u2014 it secures Grenada\u2019s qualification to the next round of the NORCECA Championships<\/strong>, bringing the Spice Isle one step closer to the World Youth Championships<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Leading this charge were the tournament\u2019s standout Grenadian duo: Zerick Walcott And <\/strong>Kibose Hamilton<\/strong><\/p>\n

Their chemistry, grit, and fearless play proved too much for the hosts, as they executed big serves, strategic plays, and game-winning rallies when it mattered most.<\/p>\n

At the helm was Head Coach Jonell Phillip<\/strong>, whose vision and mentorship have been instrumental in Grenada\u2019s beach volleyball rise. Fresh off completing a Level 1 Coaching Course in Paraguay \u2014 conducted entirely in Spanish \u2014 Phillip\u2019s leadership has become a cornerstone of this young team\u2019s growing success.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Grenada\u2019s female U21 team<\/strong> also left it all on the court, fighting valiantly and finishing 8th overall. Their determination and spirit show the deep talent pool and promise of Grenadian volleyball\u2019s next generation.<\/p>\n
