The Grenada Office of Creative Affairs (GOCA) proudly\u00a0 announces the launch of its upgraded website and new Creative Business Directory, a\u00a0 key digital initiative under GOCA\u2019s strategic mandate to strengthen the visibility, growth\u00a0 and sustainability of Grenada\u2019s creative industries.<\/p>\n
Officially unveiled on January 22nd, 2026, GOCA\u2019s vibrant informational website\u00a0 showcases Grenada\u2019s creative economy in action and highlights key initiatives developed\u00a0 to increase the economic value of Grenada\u2019s cultural and creative industries (CCIs),\u00a0 including the CCI Business Development Fund, Concessions for Creatives, and CCI\u00a0 Scholarships. A notable feature of the upgraded digital platform is the Creative Portal, an\u00a0 online community for creatives registered with GOCA. The Creative Portal is GOCA\u2019s hub\u00a0 for promoting creative initiatives, facilitating access to essential services, and supporting\u00a0 the professional advancement of creative practitioners.<\/p>\n
The GOCA Creative Business Directory, launched alongside the informational website, is\u00a0 a public access marketplace of creative professionals and enterprises. By simplifying the\u00a0 process of finding creative talent with an easy-to-navigate online directory, GOCA has\u00a0 made it easy to find the right service providers for creative projects.<\/p>\n
The Grenada Office of Creative Affairs is intentional about everything that we do,\u201d explains\u00a0 Orlando Romain, Advisor with responsibility for the Creative Economy. \u201cWhen we\u00a0 launched in 2023 with the official Unleash Conference, we mapped out a clear path for\u00a0 developing the sector through capacity building, financing and market access. Today we\u00a0 are proud to be launching this digital, interactive tool focused on market access. Grenada\u00a0 has an abundance of creative talent, both locally and in the diaspora, and it is our intention\u00a0 to ensure that there are tools and systems in place for them to be discovered, engaged\u00a0 and earn income from their creative enterprises.\u201d<\/p>\n
Andr\u00e9 Hayes of MindzEye Films commends the initiative to bring creatives and the people\u00a0 looking for creative services together in one space. \u201cI think this is a step in the right\u00a0 direction to bringing more awareness to the people who exist within the creative space.\u00a0 One of the difficult things, as creatives, is getting that extra push to market our services.\u00a0 This new directory helps so that we do not have to focus so much on marketing and can\u00a0 focus on creating.\u201d Similarly, Kisha Miller, creator of Living Essentials and Luxurious\u00a0 Scents, is excited about the opportunities that the new directory will unlock. \u201cThe new\u00a0 directory will create a central place to find different talents and more people within the\u00a0 creative economy.
