The Ministry of Foreign Affairs mourns the passing of Grenada\u2019s Honorary Consul in Montreal, Mr. Leonard (Junior) Wharwood.<\/p>\n
For many years Junior served Grenada\u2019s Diaspora with distinction. His success as Grenada\u2019s Honorary Consul was attributed to his fierce patriotism and his love and empathy for his Grenadian sisters and brothers.
\nHis deep love for country and people combined with his passion to serve lifted us all.
\nThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and indeed the entire Government of Grenada, extend condolences to Junior\u2019s family, friends, loved-ones, well wishers, and to everyone touched by his exemplary life of service.
\nAs we mourn, our faith and belief in God allows us to celebrate Junior\u2019s life knowing that he is now in a better place.
\nThe Grenadian people and Government are indebted to Junior for his invaluable service over the years.<\/p>\n
May his soul rest in eternal peace.<\/p>\n
