American Citizens residing in Grenada with federal benefits issues will be afforded the opportunity to have their concerns addressed. The U.S. Embassy will facilitate an outreach on October 30-31, 2018 at L\u2019Anse Aux Epines, St. George from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. A Regional Federal Benefits Officer will be available to discuss and advise on a number of social security matters including non-receipt of payments, direct deposits, social security applications, and queries from representative payees.<\/p>\n
To schedule an appointment persons are asked to contact the U.S. Embassy on (473)444-1173. When prompted, please leave a message and all calls will be returned as soon as possible. Emails can also be sent to stgeorgesacs@state.gov.<\/p>\n
As of last year, Social Security Administration (SSA) consolidated its overseas operations into several regional offices that provide a full range of SSA services for U.S. citizens residing outside of the United States. Since then Grenada no longer accepts telephone calls, emails, or walk-in consultations regarding Social Security. Instead, persons have been asked to contact the Social Security Federal Benefits Unit located in San Jose, Costa Rica directly.<\/p>\n
It is for this reason we encourage beneficiaries to take advantage of this face to face encounter with the experts to aid in a prompt and effective resolution to on-going difficulties.<\/p>\n
