The Child Protection Authority (CPA) recognises that positive parenting skills are necessary attributes to reduce or eliminate incidents of child abuse.<\/p>\n

To this end, with funding from the United Nations Children Funds (UNICEF), the CPA is undertaking training in Level 3 Parenting Facilitation.<\/p>\n

Offered by the Grenada National Training Agency (GNTA), the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) course is expected to produce 20 trained facilitators by the end of the second quarter of 2019.<\/p>\n

The goal, thereafter, would be to conduct parenting sessions within various communities.<\/p>\n

The authority believes that providing this kind of support to parents would promote positive behaviour among parents and children in 2019.<\/p>\n
