Grenada quarter mile star Bralon Taplin recorded the fastest set the fastest time over the distance so far this season after taking top spot at the Texas A&M Aggie Twilight on Saturday.<\/p>\n
In blanket finish for the Caribbean, Taplin, competing for Texas A&M, cruised to the line in 45.26 well clear of second place Cayman Island athlete Jamal Walton who was third in 46.26.\u00a0 Trinidad and Tobago\u2019s Asa Guevara was third in 46.47.<\/p>\n
Taplin\u2019s finish beat the previous world-leading mark of 45.35 set by Houston\u2019s Obi Igbokwe in Clemson last weekend.\u00a0 The 28-year-old, World Championship finalist, has a personal best of 44.88 over the distance, which was set at College Station in the United States last year.\u00a0 Earlier this season Taplin won the 300m in 32.49 seconds to equal the world-leading time for the 2019 indoor season.<\/p>\n
