Hollice Mapp, who became the first non-national to win the Soca Monarch, held a media conference to discuss his plans for 2020.<\/p>\n
The soca Monarch king says \u201cI am not just in Trinidad and Tobago for the competition but to have the time of my life, to enjoy carnival with lots of my celebrity friends\u201d.<\/p>\n
Mapp says his career has grown tremendously from bookings to other thing. \u201cSince winning the title almost 12 months ago it has been a very exciting and very tiring year but overall a great year\u201d.<\/p>\n
Mr Mapp before ending his press conference said \u201cI personally do not have a problem with the dancehall music being played at carnival time.\u201d<\/p>\n
He also noted that \u201cIn Jamaica they play soca from Grenada, Trinidad and the rest of the Caribbean and soca in General.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
