The Grenada National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to inform that UNESCO has launched the 12th call for funding requests to the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD).<\/p>\n

The IFCD is one of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions\u2019 key instruments of international cooperation and assistance. The Fund invests in projects in developing countries that lead to structural change through policies and strategies that have a direct effect on the creation, production, distribution, and access to a diversity of cultural expressions, including cultural goods, services, and activities.<\/p>\n

This call, which coincides with the celebration of the International Year of the Creative Economy for Sustainable Development, will contribute to support initiatives that aim to \u2018build back better\u2019 the cultural and creative sectors of developing countries, which have been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Projects supported by the IFCD cover a wide range of activities \u2013 from capacity-building and cultural mapping to policy analysis and development, as well as entrepreneurship support and cultural industries consolidation.<\/p>\n
