Former National footballer and Concacaf Licensed Coach Jake Rennie is leading the charge in preparing the Senior Women\u2019s National Team for the 2023 FIFA\u00a0 Women\u2019s World Cup Qualifiers beginning in February 2022. Apart from being a\u00a0 licensed coach, Rennie holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Physical Education and Sport\u00a0 from the International School for Physical Education and Sport.<\/p>\n
Additionally, he served as Fitness Trainer for the Senior Men\u2019s National Team in\u00a0 the Gold Cup and was Head Coach of the U17 and U20 Men\u2019s teams in 2018 and\u00a0 2020 respectively.<\/p>\n

Shakira Collymore-Assistant Coach (Former player and referee)<\/p>\n

The National Senior Women\u2019s Team will play their first match away against\u00a0 Dominican Republic on February 16 then host Jamaica on February 20 at the\u00a0 Kirani James Athletics Stadium at 5pm.<\/p>\n
Currently, the team is engaged in weekly fitness and technical training sessions\u00a0 from Monday to Thursday at the Queen\u2019s Park Playing Field.<\/p>\n
Coach Rennie says, \u201cWe are working with promising talent identified by the\u00a0 Women\u2019s Development Officer from the U20 team and from recent competitions\u00a0 and festivals held last year. We will also have overseas based players joining the\u00a0 team.\u201d<\/p>\n
He further stated, \u201cWe are ensuring that the players are in the best physical\u00a0 condition while also focusing on mental preparation.\u201d<\/p>\n
