The Communal Co-operative Credit Union Limited continues to exemplify its member focus and innovative approach with the launch of its first Connex ATM on the sister isle, at the Alexis Food Stores compound located in Tyrell Bay, Harvey Vale.
Communal has taken the initial steps towards providing ATM services to not only the members of its credit union on the island but to focus on the growing southern business district of Tyrell Bay.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony held on Thursday, 25 April 2019 at the Alexis Food Stores car park, was attended by a cross section of representatives from the Government of Grenada, banking sector, stakeholders, and sister credit unions.
During the proceedings of the afternoon, remarks were made by Honourable Kindra Mathurine-Stewart, the Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Local Governments & Legal Affairs; Floyd Dowden of the Grenada Co-operative Bank Limited; Alistaire Phillip of Grenada Authority for the Regulations of Financial Institutions (GARFIN) and Lydia Courtney-Francis, General Manager of The Communal. All speakers highlighted the significance of the Connex ATM service for Carriacou and the surrounding Grenadine islanders.
The Connex ATM will allow both locals and visitors of the sister isle chain to have direct access to their monies. The Connex Network brand has grown in prominence for the local credit union fraternity and epitomises the brand preference. The Communal continues to provide the utmost experience for its members and the people of Carriacou through the introduction of this Connex ATM service.
